Between Station 11  by Emily St. John Mandel, The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, and Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, there is a common theme of freedom. All three of these texts show the common theme of freedom, having one of the main characters wanting freedom for others or for themselves. They each want a sense of being free from the world that they are living in, or a drastic change in their life.
